Bvlgari: Where Haute Horlogerie Meets Roman Elegance

A master of bold design and Italian craftsmanship, Bvlgari seamlessly blends high jewelry artistry with Swiss watchmaking expertise. Founded in Rome, the brand stands apart with its daring aesthetic, architectural inspirations, and groundbreaking innovations—redefining luxury horology with an unmistakable identity. Bvlgari's commitment to excellence is further underscored by its prestigious association with the LVMH Group, a luxury conglomerate known for its diversified offerings and global presence.

Unlike traditional Swiss maisons, Bvlgari infuses its timepieces with a jeweler’s sensibility, creating iconic collections like the Octo Finissimo, renowned for record-breaking ultra-thin movements, and the Serpenti, a symbol of elegance and allure.

Bvlgari doesn’t just craft watches—it challenges conventions. From pioneering materials to cutting-edge complications, the maison has earned its place among elite watchmakers while retaining its Roman soul. Whether it’s the avant-garde appeal of the Octo series or the sensual curves of the Serpenti, each Bvlgari timepiece is a statement of innovation, heritage, and unmistakable style.

History of Bvlgari

Bvlgari’s watchmaking journey blends Italian artistry with Swiss precision, redefining luxury horology. In the 1920s, the brand introduced its first Art Deco-inspired timepieces, combining platinum and diamond elegance with Roman craftsmanship. The 1940s saw the birth of the iconic Serpenti, a coiled bracelet-watch that seamlessly fused jewelry design with horology, setting Bvlgari apart from Swiss maisons.

In 1975, the brand disrupted traditional watchmaking with the BVLGARI ROMA, a sleek digital timepiece with a bold engraved bezel. This led to the BVLGARI BVLGARI collection, now a hallmark of the brand’s identity. By 2000, Bvlgari cemented its status as a serious watchmaker by acquiring Daniel Roth and Gérald Genta, elevating its technical expertise.

This strategic move allowed Bvlgari to develop high-complication timepieces and manufacture its own in-house movements, elevating the brand from a jeweler-watchmaker to a serious contender in haute horology. Additionally, the association with the LVMH Group has further contributed to Bvlgari's international success and diversified luxury offerings.

Today, Bvlgari pushes boundaries with groundbreaking models like the Octo Finissimo, setting records for ultra-thin movements, and continually reimagining the Serpenti line. Each Bvlgari watch is a bold statement—where innovation, heritage, and unmistakable style converge.
