Tudor Watches, founded by Hans Wilsdorf in February 1926, began with a vision of creating high-quality timepieces at a more modest price than Rolex watches. The earliest Tudor watches feature a straightforward TUDOR signature on the dial, characterized by an elongated horizontal bar on the “T” extending above the remaining letters.

In 1936, “Veuve de Philippe Hüther” transferred the “The TUDOR” brand to Hans Wilsdorf. The Tudor rose logo, encased within a shield, was introduced on the dials, symbolizing strength and elegance.
