Hublot History

The Swiss watch manufacturer Hublot, founded by Carlo Crocco in 1980, quickly revolutionized the luxury watch industry. Debuting at the Baselworld Watch Fair, Hublot introduced its “Art of Fusion” philosophy, blending precious gold with a natural rubber strap—a bold move that set it apart from competitors and paved the way for future innovations.

In 2004, Jean-Claude Biver became CEO, propelling Hublot to new heights. The iconic Big Bang collection launched in 2005 under his leadership, winning numerous awards and solidifying Hublot’s reputation for avant-garde design and superior craftsmanship. This success led to other notable collections like the Classic Fusion and King Power, each exemplifying Hublot’s blend of traditional watchmaking techniques with modern technology. Hublot's flagship collection, the Big Bang, marked a pivotal moment in the brand's history, emphasizing its innovative approach known as the 'Art of Fusion'.

Hublot made a significant foray into the sports world in 2007 by becoming the official timekeeper of UEFA Euro 2008, underscoring its commitment to precision and performance.

In 2008, Hublot introduced the Classic Fusion at Baselworld, a contemporary reimagining of its original 1980 designs. This watch features a sporty yet elegant look with a satin-finished bezel, minimalist dial, and sleek profile, offering a more traditional vibe while retaining its unique style.

The “Spirit of Big Bang” was unveiled in 2014, maintaining the Big Bang’s key features within a barrel-shaped case. Hublot’s continuous innovation and dedication to pushing the boundaries of watchmaking have made it a symbol of luxury and cutting-edge design, beloved by many watch enthusiasts worldwide.
